SCBWI Eastern Pennsylvania - Illustrator's Day 2011

I had the pleasure to attend the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators "Illustrator's Day" at the University of Pennsylvania. As a part of the event there was a pre-workshop assignment to illustrate two spreads of "Little Red Riding Hood." Two industry professionals were on hand to critique the work and share their knowledge of the state of the children's book industry. Below are the two spreads that I produced for the event.

I would like to thank all who organized the successful event as well as Kerry Martin, Senior Designer (Clarion Books, NY), and Kirsten Hall, Illustration Agent (The Bright Agency). I look forward to many more events with this organization in the future.
